Welcome to the Communication Baccalaureate Degree program at Dixie State College of Utah. With a faculty dedicated to the success of each student, coupled with a curriculum designed to prepare graduates for many varied careers, the program is dynamic in its potential.
Communication majors choose one of the three emphases:
Human Communication, which leads to careers such as counseling, human resource management or speech writing. Mass Communication, which prepares students for careers in radio, television and newspaper as well as public relations. Film Production, which gives students real experience in every aspect of the digital film industry.Additionally, the department offers media and film students a hands-on component to their learning called the Student Media Center, where students participate in the production of media content of all kinds in a semi-professional environment under the tutelage of trained faculty and industry professionals.
