Dixie Forum: Marius van der Merwe - “Sub-Antarctic Marion Island: A Natural History”
Dr. van der Merwe’s presentation, entitled “Sub-Antarctic Marion Island: A Natural History and My Experiences There,” will chronicle his adventure as part of a 1993-94 South African expedition team sent to Marion Island in the sub-Antarctic Indian Ocean. He will talk about the natural history of the island, its climate and the plants and indigenous animal and insect species that call Marion Island home. He will also share his experiences while living and working there.

Members of the X-Club, She Club, Student Council and Student Body are being auctioned off on Wednesday Feb 10th, 2010 to encourage students here at Dixie to not be lonely this Valentines Day! Come Stop by in between classes to buy your date! The 'auctionees' come with a free date the following Saturday, the 13th at 8pm. The date consists of a projection screen movie in the Gardner Center, along with drinks and snacks. (If you and your date choose to attend.) Don't whine! Get a Valentine!
